Schools of Jurisprudence are the most loved portions of Jurisprudence for the students whoever have first confronted with the subject. Sorry, just kidding. The real truth is that SOJ (Schools of Jurisprudence) is the most boring, tiring and frustrating thing for one law student’s academic life.
We all have studied Jurisprudence in our law college career (either 3 years course or 5 years course). But, we all are familiar with the fact that how interesting it is to study Jurisprudence!!! Nonetheless we had to study to pass the exam.

Jurisprudence carries 50 marks out of total 150 marks in CLAT LLM 2017. But, Schools of Jurisprudence plays a very vital role in constituting 50 marks.
If we go through the question papers of CLAT LLM 2015 & CLAT LLM 2016, we can actually get to know how important is that for CLAT LLM 2017.
HOW TO CONQUER THE CONSTITUTION -PART II
In CLAT LLM 2015, Schools of Jurisprudence contained 20 questions out of 50 questions. These are:
Analytical School – 1
Historical School – 3
Sociological School- 6
Pure Theory of Law (Vienna School) – 2
Natural School- 6
Realist School – 1
Miscellaneous – 1
In 2016, Schools of Jurisprudence contained 20 questions out of 50 questions. These are:
Analytical School – 6
Historical School – 1
Sociological School- 7
Pure Theory of Law(Vienna School) – 2
Natural School- 1
Realist School – 2
Miscellaneous – 1
After analysing the past two years questions paper, 40% of total Jurisprudence questions consists of Schools of Jurisprudence (SOJ). Hence, to score good marks in Jurisprudence (around 40-45), one cannot sideline the Schools of Jurisprudence. If you are preparing for CLAT LLM 2017, you have to swallow the pills does not matter how much bitter they are.
