- Share your views on this Year’s CLAT LLM Paper.
The question pattern for CLAT LLM 2019 was renewed to include essay type questions as well. The paper was relatively easier, comprising of standard subjective questions from different legal areas. It was a well framed paper drafted to check the overall knowledge of students.
- What is your strategy For the Exam?
Starting with the preparation for any exam can be troublesome. For both CLAT and AILET, analysing the pattern of question paper can be of great help. Due to paucity of time, I tried studying Constitution and Jurisprudence on a daily basis, focusing majorly on Bare Acts along with standard books for the concepts.
Constant practice is the key to this exam. Solving maximum number of questions not only helps to bring conceptual clarity but also to understand our weaknesses.

- According to you, when is the perfect time for a final year student to start the preparation for CLAT LLM?
Attending college and managing regular studies can be hectic, so making best use of leisure can be helpful in completing the vast syllabus. Studying law subjects in detail can be very time-consuming, it is preferable to start with the preparations at the earliest.
- Do you think that one month is enough for preparing CLAT LLM?
One must be well versed with the basic law subjects from their time in college. Rigorous and focused exam-oriented studies might make it possible to crack the exam in a month.
- How you prepared for subjective part?
Keeping oneself aware of the recent legal developments and important judgements of past one year is crucial to the preparation. Subjective portion of CLAT 2019 had questions from IPR, Criminal law, Constitution and current legal issues. A detailed study of these subjects can help in framing elaborate answers in the exam hall.

- How have you dealt with the Constitution?
Bare Act is pivotal for preparation of this part of the paper. Comprehensive study of the Articles and case laws are sufficient to ace the subject. Books such as J.N. Pandey or V.N. Shukla can be referred. It is important to emphasize on conceptual part of Constitutional law as they can be used in the essays as well.
- How have you prepared for Other Law Subjects?
Books such as N.V. Paranjape and V.D. Mahajan can be referred for Jurisprudence. It is advisable to prepare notes for Jurisprudence as it requires constant revision. For other subjects, one can limit themselves to Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, International Law, IPR and Criminal Law, supported by Bare Acts and standard books on the subject.

There are a very few online platforms for availing guidance for preparation of CLAT PG and Jurisedge has been of great help to students preparing for the same.
