It was decided by the university that students would reach and not opt for specialization. Example- If a student opted for four or more papers in a particular stream, then the student would be awarded a LLM degree in that specialization and if the student opted different papers from different specialization then a general LLM degree would be awarded. Moreover, apart from the elective courses every student is required to do three mandatory courses.
Another good thing about NALSAR is that it also offers a credit based teaching assistantship to the LL.M students in their final semester which involves ranging from helping the teacher in preparing reading materials to providing consultation to the undergraduate.
Apart from that the post graduate batch also has their independent recruiting committee which is also being helped by the under-graduate students and college authorities. One year LL.M just pass in jiffy.
