To all the aspirants in CLAT PG, change is only constant each year. This year change is with question type.
Last year in 2019, Subjective question was reintroduced in the pattern after 2015. They were asked to write two essay questions of 25 marks each in the exam.
As CLAT PG 2020 aspirants started embracing the new question pattern, on 21st November Press release came out from the CLAT Consortium announcing the change in CLAT PG 2020 question type. That again instilled the fear among the aspirants.
3 major announcements were done in the Press Release FOR CLAT PG 2020:
The CLAT PG 2020 will have comprehension based questions.
There is a possibility of introducing the cut-off marks for LLM admission in NLUs.
Descriptive Portion will remain same like previous year.
Alongside this major announcements, Press release states the exam date as 10th May, 2020. Also it stated that the notification of the CLAT PG 2020 will be announced in the last week of December, 2019 and the online application form will be available from 1st January, 2020 onwards.
After this Press Release, students are quite confused regarding the Comprehension based questions. Because, till 2019, there was no comprehension based question asked in the exam.
In addition to comprehension-base-question-headache, possibility of introduction of cut-off marks gives student another food for thought. Till 2019, there was no cut-off marks in clat pg so students could get admission in any NLU by scoring required marks.
Now, after the introduction cut-off marks, students might have to get minimum marks to qualify themselves for the Counselling. But, there is grey area around that thing.
CLAT Consortium has stated that they are going to study the possibility of introducing cut-off marks first. Then, they will take the initiate of introducing it. We have to wait for the December last week of 2019 till the official notification comes out.
