Constitutional Law and Administrative Law

Constitution Law questions were mostly theoretical, and to the point, not many changes could be seen when we compare it to the last year’s paper; it was a combination of Article-based questions including questions from landmark cases like the R.K. Garg Case etc., as well as recent case law.

Jurisprudence

The previous year questions included application-based questions like from Hohfeld’s theory as well modern jurisprudence, but this year it was mostly from primitive and ranged up till realistic approach jurisprudence with a Match the following question from scholars and relative theories a repetition from last year.

Criminal Law (IPC, CrPC, Evidence)

The procedural law in the paper was more of an easy side with straightforward questions like the definition of inquiry, who can claim maintenance under section 125 Cr.P.C., irregular proceedings, etc. Unlike the previous year, the Questions from the Penal Code had more situation-based problems. This year, it ranged from sections based on the definition of Voyeurism, Robbery, and Grievous Hurt to recent case laws like Joseph Shine.

Law of Torts

This year’s questions from Law of Torts were relatively straight forward like the constituent of wrong, maxim ubi jus ibi remedium, unlike last year, which had more questions from case law as well as relevant concepts.

Law of Contract

The Commercial Law Section, which included questions from the Contract Act and Sales of Goods Act, was more of a section based and concept based like the previous year.

International Law

The questions of International Law, unlike last year, which had questions from static knowledge like a year of establishment of organizations this year the questions were from the case, Latin maxims as well as from SDG which was a repeated topic. Types of Questions from International Law which a student encountered this time were related to Law of Sea, Questions based on UN Organs, UN Charter and convention, Theory of State from International Law. As far as Jurisprudence is concerned, direct questions were based on “who said” definition-based questions, i.e. which of the Jurist had said………, who has given …………. theory, Jurist and their works.
