In reverential memory of late President and Scientist Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam, TERRE Policy Centre, instituted the scheme for Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Young Research Fellowship with the aim of distinguishing young Researchers from India with extraordinary promise and creativity who have made notable research contributions in the field of environment protection. TERRE has launched the 4th Edition of Fellowship program for the year 2021-22 on 15th October 2021.

- Interview of Shortlisted Applicants: April 2022

ELIGIBILITY
The fellowship of an Academy medal to a Young Researcher shall be made in recognition of notable contributions or having a measurable impact on the protection/overall improvement of the environment, based on work carried out in India.
Academic Eligibility:
- Undergraduate
- Masters in any of the fields or appearing (M.Sc, MA, M.E, and Ph.D. or appearing
- Any citizen of India, who has not attained the age of 25 years on 31st December 2021, of the year preceding the year of fellowship, shall be eligible for the fellowship.
Following is an indicative but not exhaustive list of work areas concerned:
- Plastic
- Clean Air
- Agriculture
- Smart environment-friendly technology and innovation
NATURE OF FELLOWSHIPS
The first Five fellowships will carry INR 25,000/- (Rs Twenty Five Thousands) along with a Citation, Scroll, and Medallion.
