The CLAT PG 2022 Examination was conducted on June 19, 2022, from 2 PM to 4 PM. The CLAT PG 2022 examinations happened offline e.g. Paper- Pen based. There were a total of 120 questions asked in the exam, and 2 hours (120 minutes) of the total time was allotted to solve the paper and fill the OMR Sheet. Here is the analysis of CLAT PG 2022 Paper and the Expected Cut off

The Questions in CLAT PG 2022 have been asked about the Law Subjects- Constitutional Law; Law of Jurisprudence; Family Law; Law of Contract; Company Law; Environmental Law; Taxation Law; Juvenile Justice Act & Evidence Act.

SUBJECT-WISE DIVISION:

I have made a bifurcation of each subject along with the Questions asked questions about each subject. This bifurcation is based on questions asked by each of each and not based on the passage. As some passages in CLAT PG 2022 were a combination of two law subjects.

LAW SUBJECT NUMBER OF QUESTIONS
CONSTITUTIONAL LAW 28
JURISPRUDENCE 12
LAW OF CONTRACT 14
FAMILY LAW 10
CRIMINAL LAW (CrPC + IPC) & LAW OF EVIDENCE 18
COMPANY LAW & TAXATION LAW 10
ENVIRONMENTAL LAW 10
PUBLIC INTERNATIONAL LAW 12
JUVENILE JUSTICE (CARE & PROTECTION OF CHILDREN) ACT, 2015 6
TOTAL QUESTIONS 120

DIFFICULTY LEVEL OF THE QUESTIONS IN CLAT PG 2022:

The difficulty level of the examination is MODERATE. As, generally, Law subjects (Taxation Law; Law of Evidence; Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act, 2015) have never been asked in the CLAT PG Examinations in the previous years or so, it has automatically made paper a little difficult as students were not expecting questions from this part.

The majority of questions were subjects-Constitutional Law; Criminal Law; Law of Contract; Jurisprudence and Public International Law. The Questions on all these subjects were majorly focused on Recent Legal Developments; Supreme Court Judgments and related static provisions. The questions were mostly conceptual and some situation-based, which were easy to attempt.

Most Questions from Constitutional Law; Criminal Procedure Code; Environmental Law; International Law; Indian Penal Code; Indian Contract Act; were EASY to MODERATE. And, students with good conceptual and Recent Legal Development knowledge can easily solve this part of the questions. It comprises almost 55 Questions that come into this category (EASY to MODERATE).

The Questions from Taxation Law and Company Law were DIFFICULT to answer. First of all, the Questions were never asked about Taxation Law, so students were not expecting questions about this subject. Secondly, there was a complete passage from the Amalgamation of Companies being asked, which we generally do not expect in the Company Law part.

The Questions from the Law of Evidence & Juvenile Justice Act were easy; but since, as these subjects were not previously asked in CLAT PG papers, which made this part DIFFICULT for the students.

Hence, the overall Analysis of the CLAT PG 2022 states that PAPER WAS MODERATE.
