26 Dr. Jaishri Laxmanrao Patil v. Chief Minister struck down the Maharashtra State Reservation for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) Act, 2018 which extends reservation to the Maratha community in public education and employment
27 PLR Projects Ltd v. Mahanadi Coalfields Pvt. Ltd. Court has issued a time line for the appointment of High Court judges.
28 Farzana Batool v. Union of India Right to professional education is not a fundamental right.
29 Rajeev Suri v. Delhi Development Authority Upheld the Central Vista Project, Justice Sanjeev Khanna dissenting.
30 Tamil Nadu Medical Officers Association v. Union of India MCI has no power to make any reservation for in-service candidates in PG Medical Course.
31 New India Assurance Co. Ltd. v. Hilli Multipurpose Cold Storage Pvt. Ltd. Consumer Forum has no power to extend time beyond the period of 15 days in addition to 30 days for the opposite party’s version under Sec 13(2) of Consumer Protection Act 1986.
32 Pandurang Ganpati Chaugule v. Vishwasrao Patil Murgud Sahakari Bank Limited Constitution Bench has held that the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Act 2002 is applicable to cooperative banks.
33 Pravakar Mallick v. State of Orissa reservation in promotions cannot be granted without examining adequacy of representation in promotional posts.
34 Union of India v. R. Thiyagarajan jurisdiction of a High Court is limited to the territorial jurisdiction of the State(s)
35 Shivraj Singh Chouhan v. Speaker, Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly Governor under Art 163(1) has the power to direct the trust vote.
36 Bhagwat Sharan v. Purushottam person who takes benefit of a portion of the Will cannot challenge the remaining portion of the Will
37 Dr Nallapareddy Sridhar Reddy v. State of Andhra Pradesh a trial court to exercise its powers of altering or adding charges under section 216 of the CrPC even after the completion of evidence, arguments and reserving of the judgment.
38 Rambabu Singh Thakur v. Sunil Arora directed all political parties to publish the details of criminal antecedents of their candidates within 48 hours of selection of the candidate or within two weeks of nomination.
39 Keisham Meghachandra Singh v. The Hon’ble Speaker, Manipur Legislative Assembly Speaker of the Legislative Assembly should decide on a petition seeking disqualification of a member under the Tenth Schedule within a period of three months
40 Sushila Aggarwal v. State (NCT of Delhi) Constitution Bench held anticipatory bail should not invariably be limited to a fixed period.
41 Indore Development Authority  v. Manoharlal Constitution Bench has held that under Land Acquisition Act 1894 will not lapse if the compensation has been tendered by deposit in treasury.
42 Foundation for Media Professionals v. Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir directed to examine the contentions whether to permit 3G or 4G services in J&K./
43 Anuradha Bhasin v. Union of India freedom of speech and expression and the freedom to practice any profession over the medium of internet enjoys constitutional protection under Articles 19(1)(a) and 19(1)(g).
44 Tehseen S. Poonawalla v. Union of India issued slew of guidelines for preventing mob lynching
45 Union of India v. Mohit Minerals Pvt. Ltd. upheld the constitutional validity of the Goods and Services Tax (Compensation to States) Act, 2017
46 Manohar Lal Sharma v. Narendra Damodar Das Modi dismissed a petition seeking an independent probe into the 2015 Rafale deal

49 Naval Kishore Mishra v. State of Uttar Pradesh Victim has a right to file the appeal against acquittal of the accused without seeking leave to appeal
50 Mallikka Kodagali (Dead) v. State of Karnataka A victim can file an appeal against the acquittal in HC without seeking leave to appeal.
51 Confederation of State Govt. Employees, West Bengal v. State of West Bengal Dearness Allowance is an enforceable right and the Pay Commission recommendations are not enforceable in nature.
52 Harsh Mander v. Union of India Decriminalized begging in the national capital, struck down provisions of the Bombay Prevention of Begging Act 1959
53 Asian Resurfacing of Road Agency Pvt. Ltd. v. Central Bureau of Investigation   All pending cases where stay against proceedings of a civil or criminal trial is operating, the same will come to an end on expiry of six months.
54 Fazalullah Khan v. M. Akbar Contractor (D) Interim stay on civil/criminal proceedings would end on expiry of six months
55 Bar Council of India v. AK Balaji Foreign law firms/lawyers are not permitted to practice the profession of law in India.
56 Swapnil Tripathi v. Supreme Court of India Court proceedings shall be live-streamed in the larger public interest.
57 Shakti Vahini v. Union of India right to choose life partner is a fundamental right
58 Dr. Subhash Kashinath Mahajan v. State of Maharashtra Issued directions to prevent misuse of SC/ST Act.

65 Govt. of NCT of Delhi v. Union of India Constitution Bench held LG of Delhi had to act as per the aid and advise of the Council of Ministers of Delhi Government except in matters of land, police and public order.
66 Common Cause v. Union of India right to die with dignity is a fundamental right
67 Shanti Bhushan v. Supreme Court of India, Through its Registrar Chief Justice of India is an institution in himself
68 All Religious Affinity Movement v. Joseph Shine Court rejected the review petition filed against the decision of Joseph Shine
69 Campaign for Judicial Accountability & Reforms v. Union of India Chief Justice of the High Court is the master of the roster and the same principle must apply proprio vigore (by its own force or vigore) as regards the power of the Chief Justice of India.
70 Navtej Singh Johar v. Union of India Constitution Bench struck down Section 377 IPC unconstitutional, insofar as it criminalizes consensual sexual acts of adults in private.
71 Kantaru Rajeevaru v. Indian Young Lawyers Association, (2020) 3 SCC 52 Nine Judges Bench has held that the Supreme Court can refer questions of law to a larger bench in a Review Petition.
72 Justice K.S. Puttaswamy v. Union of India Constitution Bench uphold the validity of Aadhaar Act, 2016 as constitutional. But struck down Sec 33(2), 47, 57 as unconstitutional. Justice DY Chandrachud  wrote dissenting opinion
73 Indian Young Lawyers Association v. Union of India Rule 3(b) of the Kerala Hindu Places of Public Worship (Authorization of Entry) Rules 1965, which prohibited entry of women in Sabarimala, was struck down as unconstitutional
74 Kantaru Rajeevaru v. Indian Young Lawyers Association, (2020) 2 SCC 1 Court with 3:2 has kept the review of 2019 judgment pending until a larger bench determines questions related to essential religious practices.
75 Joseph Shine v. Union of India Court declared as unconstitutional Sec 497 IPC, Section 198 CrPC which deals with the procedure for filing of complaint for the offence of adultery
