This presents a golden opportunity for aspirants, as a total of 97 vacancies are available, with 5 positions specifically allocated for the Legal stream. The notification was made public on March 14, 2024, urging candidates to commence their preparation without delay.

Three Stages

  • Phase 1: Online screening examination (two papers)

Maximum Marks & Time Duration

Phase 1

Paper 1: 100 marks, 60 minutes.

Paper 2: 100 marks, 40 minutes

Phase 2

Paper 1 (Descriptive): 100 marks, 60 minutes

Paper 2 (MCQs & Descriptive Questions): 100 marks, 60 minutes

Phase 3 (Interview): Weightage – Phase 2 (85%) and Interview (15%)

Application Process

  1. Check Eligibility Criteria: Ensure compliance with educational qualifications, age limit, and other specified criteria.
  2. Apply Online: Visit the SEBI website and click on ‘Apply Online’. Fill in personal details, qualifications, and contact information. Verify before submission.
  3. Document Upload: Upload supporting documents such as educational certificates, identification proof, photograph, and signature.
  4. Fee Payment: Pay the application fee online through various modes such as credit card, debit card, or net banking.
  5. Submission: Verify all details and submit the application form. Take a printout for reference.

Application Fee

  • Unreserved/ OBC/ EWS: ₹1000/- + 18% GST
  • SC/ ST/ PwD: ₹100/- + 18% GST

Exam Pattern

  • Phase 1:

Paper 1: General Awareness, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Test of Reasoning

Paper 2: Legal (MCQs)

  • Phase 2:

Paper 1: Descriptive English

Paper 2: Legal (MCQs & Descriptive)

Negative Marking: 1/4th mark for every wrong answer

Quantitative Aptitude, English, General Awareness, Reasoning

Phase 1 Paper 2

Constitution of India, Contract Law, Civil Procedure Code, Transfer of Property Act, Administrative Law, Jurisprudence, Law of Torts

Essay Writing, English Comprehension, Precis Writing

Phase 2 Paper 2

Criminal Law, Law of Evidence, Corporate Laws, Securities Laws

Interview

  • Conducted for 13.5 marks, with 10% weightage for post-qualification experience.
  •  Language: Candidates can choose either Hindi or English.
  • Weightage: Phase 2 (85%), Interview (15%)
