The
School of Integrated Coastal and Maritime Security Studies (SICMSS) at RRU is
committed to examining and shaping the trajectory of law, policy, and
governance in the maritime domain at national, regional, and international
levels. SICMSS offers robust academic programs, research opportunities, training,
and capacity-building initiatives to support national coastal and maritime
security agencies and stakeholders. Currently, SICMSS’s programs are conducted
exclusively at RRU’s Gandhinagar campus.

Eligibility
LL.M. in Maritime Law: Bachelor’s degree in Law with a minimum of 55% marks for a General category and 50% for SC/ST candidates.
Fee Structure
LL.M. in Maritime Law (One Year): INR 80,000 per year* + INR 10,000
(Refundable Caution Money)

Admission Criteria
Admission
is based on the RRU Common Entrance Test (RCET) for PG (Law) on Sunday, July
14, 2024. The test will be 2 hours long, with 100 MCQs and no negative marking.
It will cover:
- English
language and reading comprehension (25 questions)
- Analytical
reasoning and general studies (25 questions)
- Law
domain (50 questions) covering Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, International
Law, Administrative Law, Criminal Law and Justice, National Security and Law,
Cyber Laws, etc.
The
entrance test is an ‘Online Proctored Mode,’ allowing applicants to take the
exam from any location using a laptop or personal computer with a stable
internet connection.

- Exam Date: July 14, 2024
- Result Announcement: July 18, 2024
- Counseling: Begins July 22, 2024
